Pineapple Plantation - The Fruit.

Pineapples ready for collection by lorries (trucks) to be delivered to the processing plant. The pineapples shown is not fully ripe. When it is ripe, the color is orange yellow.

Information on pineapples can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pineapple. In Malaysia, pineapples are called nenas or nanas. I have been told that this pineapples is called "morris" type. Observe that the "crown" has been slashed off. The crown is used to plant the next pineapple plant. The scientific name for pineapple is "Ananas Comosus" from the Bromeliaceae family.

Beautiful evening with great cloudy sky. Camera set to "auto", vibration reduction "on" and full wide-angle zoom.
