Pineapple Plantation - The Plants

Nice late evening weather. Observe the crowns on the pineapples. The pineapple crowns are slashed off the fruit and replanted for the next batch of pineapples. I have been told that this is a better method compared to planting the pineapples from young pineapples that grow around the matured plants.

These pineapples are planted in well-drained peat soil. When the fruits has been harvested, the plants is burned to prepare it for the next planting.
